Dr. Lakisha Hyatt
Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut Valley Hospital
Dr. Lakisha Hyatt is a transformational healthcare executive, leadership strategist, and community servant whose work is grounded in the belief that leadership is most powerful when rooted in service. She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut’s largest publicly funded psychiatric and addiction medicine hospital, where she leads more than 1,100 employees across two campuses and oversees critical behavioral health services for the state of Connecticut. She is also the first woman of color to serve in this role.
Known for her ability to lead complex organizations through change, Lakisha’s leadership focuses on workforce development, organizational culture, and strengthening systems of care for vulnerable populations. Her approach blends operational excellence with servant leadership—building high-performing teams while fostering environments where both staff and patients thrive.
In addition to her healthcare leadership, Dr. Hyatt serves as the Executive Director of Ministries for Rehoboth Church a 1,200-member faith first community serving worship center and is an ordained minister. Her leadership bridges the healthcare, academic, and faith communities, reflecting her commitment to holistic well-being—mental, physical, and spiritual. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member for both the University of Connecticut and Yale University.
